Information You Send
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that produces the sponsored result. Marysville Residents Directory does not keep its own copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the details included in your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Information
Our hosting service may create ordinary server logs, including an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and time of access. We review this data in aggregate to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Limited visitor data is used to run the service, diagnose technical issues, measure traffic, and improve reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create personal profiles of individual readers.
Outside Websites
Marysville Residents Directory links to Union County, City of Marysville, Ohio, library, archive, court, and third-party services. Each outside service has its own privacy policy and controls what happens to data submitted there. This includes sponsored search results supplied by an outside provider.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process server-log data for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when a valid legal process requires it or as otherwise required by law.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no user accounts, Marysville Residents Directory does not maintain a visitor password or profile for an account holder.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on where a visitor lives, there may be rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service retains. Because we keep little information, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Ohio, Union County, or Marysville offices are outside our control; requests concerning those records must go to the custodian. Ohio's public-records rules are governed by ORC 149.43, but that statute does not control this private reference.
Policy Changes
A revised version of this policy will be posted here. Continued use after a change means that the updated policy applies.
